We built a system for DM Alfa in which advisers manage their clients and portfolios, while clients can log in to see exactly where their investments stand. Pricing and account data flow into the system automatically.
About the client
DM Alfa is a brokerage that provides discretionary portfolio management for private clients. An adviser makes the investment decisions within an agreed strategy, and the client entrusts their portfolio to them.
With a service like this, what matters most is trust and regular, transparent contact with the client.
To show clients what their portfolio was worth, advisers had to gather data from several places: accounts at KBC and mBank, plus pricing from Bloomberg. All of it then had to be pulled together into a statement by hand.
How data flowed before the project
Data in several placesPricing and account balances came from different systems.
Manual reportsEvery client statement took up an adviser’s time.
No visibility for clientsClients couldn’t check for themselves what was happening to their money.
RegulationClient communications and data had to meet MiFID and AML requirements.
Manual work was eating into time that advisers could have spent on their clients and investments.
Without change, every new client would have meant even more statements – and even more phone calls asking ‘how’s my portfolio doing?’
One placeClients, portfolios, orders and reports in a single system.
No more re-keyingPricing and bank data load automatically.
Clients kept up to dateTheir current portfolio and documents, available as soon as they log in.
Compliant by designMiFID and AML requirements built into the system.
We brought everything that clients and advisers interact with into a single environment. Instead of several tools and manual reports, the firm got one system that pulls in data from Bloomberg and the banks automatically.
The brokerage’s shop window and the way into the client portal
CRM, portfolios, orders and reports
Portfolio and documents in one place
The system automatically pulls in valuations from Bloomberg and account data from KBC and mBank.
They can see their clients, contact history and portfolios, and export reports to Excel in a single click.
Purchase orders and investment details are recorded in one place, right on the client’s record.
Once logged in, they can see the current state of their portfolio and their documents.
Access and client data are protected by an integration with Securitas, and the system meets MiFID and AML requirements.
Advisers no longer spend their time gathering data – they put it to work. Clients can see their portfolio whenever they like.
